Sighișoara Medieval Festival or Festivalul Sighișoara medievală is a Romanian festival held on the last weekend of July in Sighișoara, Romania.

The 24th edition of Sighisoara Medieval Festival, which will take place in late July, will be influenced by the genius of playwright William Shakespeare, in celebration of 400 years since his death, and shall bear the generic name 'Storm' after the writer's work, said today, Agerpres, director Liviu Pancu, event Director.

Liviu Pancu told Agerpres that following a design contest organized by the City of Sighisoara, Targu Mures Theatre scene emerged victorious from the project 'Storm', comprising representatives of dozens of theater, magic, music and knightly battles.

Sighisoara Medieval Festival in 2016 reached its 24th edition. The festival will take 4 days, the last weekend of July 28 to 31 July 2016, being equally expected cultural tourists and guest houses in the city-fortress.

Last year's theme was: minstrels and Mariachi - five centuries of medieval music and theater. Among medieval knights orders represented in the Fortress were the Knights Chigot (Bulgaria), Knights Wolf (Targu Mures), Knights Art Prize (Sibiu), Knights of the Carpathians (Deva), Knights of Muhlbach (Sebes).
