Se spune că în această cetate, pe la începutul secolului al XV-lea a existat o tânără fată pe nume Hilde. Aceasta avea un tată frânghier care o bătea și se opunea iubirii ei curate pentru tânărul Johan. Acesta, după lungi ani de așteptare văzând că tatăl Hildei nu se îndupleca să i-o dea de soție, și-a pus capăt zilelor, spânzurându-se în masarda casei sale. După înmormantarea nefericitului Johan, frumoasa Hilde a dispărut fără urmă … Bătrânul ei tată , ros de remușcări, a căutat-o prin tot ținutul Transilvaniei .
Vecinii sărmanului Johan au început să se plângă că din masarda casei se aud zgomote ciudate … Chiar și astăzi unii oameni ai cetății susțin că o aud pe nefericita Hilde râzând și cântând în masarda blestemată.

It is said that in this citadel, sometimes in the beginning of the fifteenth century there was a young girl named Hilde. She had a father who was a rope maker and who was beating her because he was against the pure love between his daughter and the young handsome Johan. After years of waiting, the young Johan, seeing that Hilde’s father would not consent their love, decided to end his days by hanging himself in the attic of this house. After the funeral of the unhappy Johan, the beautiful Hilde disappeared without a track. The old father, overcome by remorse, searched his daughter throughout the entire land of Transylvania. The neighbors of the chanceless Johan began to complain for some strange noises heard from the attic … Even today some citizens of the citadel say they hear the unhappy Hilde laughing and singing in the cursed attic.
